Unemployed Ant

...Just like that it's already been five days since I last posted a blog. It's going to be like that. I'm not here to blog every day or even every couple of days but whenever I have something exciting to say or I'm just bored. I will turn to blogging while doing research on some wicked subject online. It often come to this, That or doing research on places to go visit. Or I'm looking on ways to make the money I need to actually do the traveling.

"There are people who, instead of listening to what is being said to them, are already listening to what they are going to say themselves."

                         -Albert Guinon-

Yes, jobs are hard to get. Not really, but good jobs are hard to get, my problem is I can't tell my future employer that I'm just staying for a short time.. Also that I prefer getting up late and staying up all night, write, read and watch movies. When this is done, it's time to make myself a lunch. I'm not the worst cook in the world but the best one either. Still it takes about an hour to make and eat the food.

Then shower. As the environmental concerned guy I am I don't shower for long, usually for about four minutes or so but the drying and brushing of teeth and looking at myself in the mirror takes another ten minutes. Now it's time to check my e-mail for new jobs, nothing? Aight, I'll spend another two hours applying for new jobs online and before I get my head around and actually plan to go outside to meet up at the places I would like to work. Problem is, it's 4pm and all the people in charge at any potential money-source are gone home to their cocaine and families.

All I can do is walk to the store to get some air and fresh cigarettes or lighters. Spending time with friends and walking to the store also take up some time. And then at around midnight I'm back to midday and I'm usually hanging out at the computer doing random stuff just like earlier or same time the day before. All movies back to 1970 have been watched. The same with TV-series that don't have an record of more than eight seasons. And I must say that production of great movies should explode very soon to keep me from going crazy. Bollywood are getting stronger by the day but I still think they use dance and still pictures too much of an expression in many of them. I also look forward to the day the producers realize that movies don't have to be more than two hours long. Talking about movies, I find them all kind of interesting and there is not one genre I like better than another. But on the top of the list you'll still find action, adventure, great comedy and horrors.

Books: I've got myself a Sony reader I use for reading books. It's actually very handy and fits in my inner jacket-pocket. It also have a browser in it but doesn't carry all the features of an iPad, luckily. But I have to admit I'm not that good good of an reader anymore. Except when traveling, I easily go through a book a day on travels. This because I enjoy traveling slow. As long as we're not talking of just getting somewhere and back within a time frame; I want my travel to be on a one-way ticket with most possible doors open! It's an amazing adventure to stay one place for a little bit of time, get to know the culture and some people. The food changes from everywhere you go and so does the humor. After all an ant can lift fifty times its own weight, can pull thirty times its own weight and always falls over on its right side when it's intoxicated. But they better enjoy it cause they only live for 45-60 days. I like Army Ants, they are nomadic and always moving. They carry their larvae and their eggs with them in a long column. The Army Ant (Ecitron Burchelli) of South America, can have as many as 700,000 members in its colony. I bet they have to do a lot of circles. An ant brain has about 250 000 brain cells. but a human brain has 10,000 million so a colony of 40,000 ants has collectively the same size brain as a human. Now, I find that interesting. EO Wilson , a noted Harvard biologist and expert on ants, estimatesthat the number of ants in the world is between ten to the sixteenthand ten to the seventeen or: 100,000,000,000,000,000 ants. This tell us that ants at all time outnumber us by a stipulated 2,490,000,000,000 in brainpower.

Until next time,
Aman dan cinta
